Oulton Park Duathlon

Owdo?

Just wondering if anyone had or is considering signing up for the Oulton Park Duathlon 25th April?

A duathlon around the famous Oulton Park Race Track. Transition will be in the pits, and you will run 1 lap, then cycle 6 exhilarating laps on your bike, and then finish by running 1 final lap. The event will benefit from numbered racking and electronic chip timing.

Very fast smooth surface - NO potholes!!!!

Run distance:4.305km (2.67miles)
Cycle distance:25.84km (16.04miles)

Not too far away for a 10am start on a Sunday morning

Yeah i saw this last year and wanted to do it, i'm big f1 fan so this defo appeals to me couple nice hills too on oulton park if i remember correctly Laughing

Hi Bill,

Ive done this race for the past two years running and even came 3rd overall last year!! However, i did have a few problems last year getting my prize. Well actually i still havent had it.
Its a good course and great for the bike leg.
I will definatly be doing it again this year just because its a good race. Very Happy

Dont worry about the hills theres only one hill which is a bit of a killer, its only short but you have to go up it 6 times!! Shocked

Yep - i've done it too. Its a smooth, if a tad dull, course .... round and round and round..... But its safe and nice and enclosed also being laps, its easy to spot your rivals (so long as you know them). The 10am start is brill as it beats the having to get up at 5am rubbish that normally comes along with these things. There is also a cafe on site where the briefing is done so you can get tea/coffee/lunch afterwards. Its an ok race but don't get too excited - there are better ones out there.....

Just entered - You were quicker than me last year and at singing up for the event this year

I can see a pattern forming!

Count me in as well as I have just entered it online this afternoon.

First time I have entered a duathlon but as they say there's a first time for everything!
