The 2010 cyclosportive season proper starts right here with the fourth edition of the UCI sanctioned Cheshire Cat cyclosportive. It's the first UCI cycling for all challenge on the UK calendar. Since 2007 demand has outstripped supply for participant places so the capacity for entries has again been increased - every year hundreds of people tell us how they really wanted to ride but missed out. For 2010 we have a new event HQ - the prestigious Crewe Alexandra Stadium next to the famous 'arrive from anywhere' railway station.
We've improved the routes again this year and we've kept all the best bits of previous Cat routes in. If you 've ridden the Cheshire Cat before you may well recognise some of the beautiful Cheshire lanes - and you will also experience new challenges as we take you through some different parts of beautiful Cheshire. We take you a little further west where Cheshire borders onto North Wales and the Marches near the River Dee. The routes have everything - some have fierce climbs like Mow Cop, flat plain, undulating lanes, pretty villages or open moorland. We have routes for everyone; an option for the serious sportive rider with a tough, but not too tough, early season 100 miler. We also have a challenging yet not too tough 45 miler with one nice climb and a feedstation half-way round. Ever thought about riding a cyclosportive and wondered just how and where to begin? - well don't get lead down the garden path, on yer bike with KILO TO GO!...this fully supported 45 mile option might be right up your street. No matter what you are looking for in a challenging bike ride you'll find the Cheshire Cat 2010 has it all.
