Falling Leaves Challenge Ride Empty
PostSubject: Falling Leaves Challenge Ride    Falling Leaves Challenge Ride EmptyMon Sep 27, 2010 4:37 am

Hi guys, please see details for this local event below...

Just a note to say the Falling Leaves Roughride is on again this year.
Date 10.10.10 START HQ, BLYTHE BRIDGE VILLAGE HALL.
We have online entry or you can print off an entry form from the website, links to both here:Link we've stuck a few more bits of sneaky singletrack in the ride this year.

The best way to describe the event is it's akin to a CRC marathon, i.e. a mixture of rural roads lanes, doubletrack and singletrack etc.
There is some good quality trails, nothing that'll scare you to death if you're a experienced MTB'r (again similar to the marathon events you guys are used to.... plenty of climbing & descending!)
I will say the 50 mile route is quite tough, and probably even more so if the weather's not playing ball on the day. The 33mile route does contain a big chunk of the best of the off road sections for the day - but the 50 mile route does have some cracking views etc at the highest points in the Weaver hills (one for the hard nuts!) We've tried to utilise the best the Churnet Valley and surrounding areas offer without offending any landowners etc. Hope to see you guys there.
